Hi, I’m Harry Crow, Head Professional at Cherry Lodge. After returning to the club in 2024, I bring extensive experience in coaching and club fitting for golfers of all abilities. I love helping players improve, so please feel free to pop into the Pro Shop if I can help in any way.
Mackenzie Thorpe
Assistant Professional
Having started golf at the age of seven, I have spent over a decade developing both my playing ability and my understanding of the sport. I began competing at eleven and have since participated in a wide range of tournaments, progressing from junior events to adult competitions. Alongside my playing career, I have gained four years of experience working within the golf industry and am currently a PGA Trainee.

The Professional Shop is one branch of Elite Golf Management LTD. Having a close partner creates a very unique ability to stock a large selection of clothing and equipment. If they do not have what you are looking for, they can get it, which is why the Professional Shop at Cherry Lodge is able to provide a unique bespoke service. The golf shop includes a blend of modern and traditional clothing from respected and trusted clothing brands across the industry which include Under Armour, Ping, Island Green, Proquip, Galvin Green, Pure and Tail, Callaway and Ashworth.
Custom Fitting
Harry and his team also offer an unrivalled custom fitting experience. Using Trackman technology combined with knowledge from their PGA certification you will be assured that new clubs will match perfectly to your golf game. Our PGA professionals possess a wealth of coaching knowledge so no matter your experience you can be confident that regular sessions will improve all aspects of your game.

Golf and Academy Pathway
Here at Cherry Lodge GC, we have a beginners package aimed very much at easing you comfortably into playing golf, creating a pathway to membership. For both men and women, your development is at a pace that’s suited to getting you onto the course, with other players of similar ability and ambitions. Whilst the full three phases would ordinarily begin in April and end in December each year, the phases are designed (depending on availability) to allow beginners of differing levels to join at each phase. Priced competitively, this allows the player to progress without a huge commitment, financially or otherwise.

Phase 1 – (6 one hour group lessons to build basic understanding of:)

Phase 2 – (6 one hour group lessons to build on Phase 1 and:)

Phase 3 – (Academy membership to the end of the calendar year:)

- 6 one hour group lessons
- 6 individual 40 minute lessons
- Unlimited access to the full golf course at off peak times

Cherry Lodge Pro-Am
Annual Event
Cherry Lodge runs an annual Pro-Am event where professionals and amateurs from all over the south region come to compete on our par-64 course. The event is held at the end of May. If you are interested in entering a team for next year's event, please contact our head pro Harry at harrycrowgolf@gmail.com We can provide a professional if needed.
