Golfing Abilities For All
Here at Cherry Lodge, we have a busy and thriving membership for all golfing abilities - men, women and juniors.
Mens Section 👈
With over 400 active playing members, we pride ourselves on running a section that is both social and welcoming for new and existing members alike.
As a member of the men’s section, you will have the opportunity to meet fellow members by playing in our range of drawn or roll-up competitions. Cherry Lodge also participates in the South East Association League, the North Kent Foursomes, and the Yeoman Trophy.
Joining one of our many groups within the club which play at a regular weekly time offers flexibility for members who have limited times or day restraints. This provides new members with the opportunity to make friends quickly.
We have a varied membership across a broad range of handicaps, so members can enjoy social and competitive golf in equal measure.
Ladies Section 👈
With 120 playing members, including 5 juniors, we pride ourselves on our warm and friendly playing and social environment. With weekly competitions on a Wednesday and a Saturday, we cater for everyone’s time and availability needs.
Cherry Lodge Ladies participate in all the key county competitions and hold mixed internal and external competitions against other clubs.
In 2019 our locker room underwent a major refurbishment, resulting in a spacious and modern shower and changing area perfect for all weathers!
Whether you want to play social golf or are keen to get your handicap down and play in regular competitions, our section provides all the opportunities you may be looking for in a golf club.

Vets Section 👈
With a robust 150 active members, the Cherry Lodge Vets section play weekly on a Tuesday morning. Every male member of 60 and over can join the group for a small annual fee. We run a variety of competitions across the year including weekly stableford roll-ups, monthly medals, a number of major drawn competitions and an away day.
The vets are also members of a league in which matches are played against other teams in our division. Friendlies against other local clubs are part of our calendar, together with fun competitions and an annual event against our Ladies section.
Juniors Section 👈
Cherry Lodge has an ever-growing Junior Section and new members are always welcome.
The Junior Academy meets on a Sunday and the children are split into three groups. The first two groups are the beginners and the emphasis is on having fun. The children play a range of games all under the supervision of one the club pros – they use either the driving range or the putting green. The final group are the Juniors that are ready to go and play out on the course and most of the children in this group have their handicap. The sessions for this group take place on the driving range or out on the course where they learn course management.
The club pros also organise summer camps for the children where they offer full days coaching and these have proved to be very popular.
During the summer months, there is a monthly competition for those that have a handicap and during the school holidays, there are competitions as well. The club also takes part in the Golf Sixes competition and this involves the children who don’t have a handicap as well as those that do. The club has links with Kent Golf and a number of the girls attend county coaching sessions as well as taking part in county competitions.
The Juniors are well supported by all sections of the club and once they reach the required standard are encouraged to enter club competitions.
Whatever your standard from beginner to holding a handicap you will be given a warm welcome at Cherry Lodge Golf club.
